Two days later - who knew that could happen

Well, Tuesday was supposed to be a leisurely day of exploring the island.  It started out with good intentions, we had a veggie and cheese omelet b’fast at the house. After that we drove over to Shelter Cove and looked around the Marina and Condo’s.  The Disney resort located here.  Just a quick tour around and then off Sea Pines.  We looked around Harbour Town and stopped in to the Salty Dog where Mel from Calgary (Lake Bonavista) served us a couple of beers.  Some shopping for souvineers followed and then we were off to Coligny Square where we visited another local wine store for a tasting - leading to acquisition of yet more locally fermented wine.  After that, Billy and I had a beer and frogs legs at the Frosty Frog while the girls tried to find out what the didn’t know they couldn’t get along without.  We were off once more to the Beach Club were we indulged in some raw oysters and other low calorie fried foods (Karen did have a salad).  There might have been some scotch involved too.  Wait a minute, perhaps we went to the Beach Club before we went to Coligny Square.  Anyway, the next stop involved eating and drinking too.  Holy Tequila.  Things start getting a bit hazy from that point forward, but we did have some Margaritas and tacos, burritos, hot tamales, you know how it goes.  Home from there and a nightcap before turning in.

Today, we got up and had a meeting with Jesse from the Owners Club (at least Bill and Jane did) before heading over to Oyster Reef to play a round.  Much confusion ensued regarding who were the members, who were the guests, what hole to start on, who should be riding with whom ...

The golf course was great, golfing not so much (other than Billy, even though even he suffered through some occaisional difficulty).  We got er done though, and then followed up with a lovely snack at the Fish Camp before heading back to the house.  Jane and I had a hot tub while Karen and Bill stayed back at the house - and no, we are not “swingers”.  Got cleaned up and freshened and have a reservation at the Jazz Club for the evening.
