I awoke feeling a little worse for wear, declined to enjoy the fantastic Prince Western Buffet breakfast.  I think I was over served by a vending machine somewhere along the line yesterday.  In fact spent the morning in peace and quiet while Myles and Karen headed out shopping (again) into downtown Yokohama.  Once they returned, we limped down to the Rosso (still out of beer) to meet with some tourists with a plan for a session with Doc James Unplugged under the tracks.

This little venue behind the station has become the go to place for revelry amongst the Privateers.  After the singalong, we made our way in full lumberjack regalia to the grassy knoll for a couple of cans of Sapporo prior to heading into the 70,000 seat Yokohama Nissan stadium for the Wales v RSA Semi Final #2.  The first half saw much inaccuracy from both sides and the teams appeared much more nervous compared to the ferocious intensity of the prior England v AB’s game.  The second half was better and Wales played well enough to stay abreast of RSA until a late penalty gave the Springboks an historic win.

Also enjoyed the relentless cacophony of misunderstood laws ejaculating from the always on Neil Cameron.  As for the pisser, the staff had learned from previous malfeasance and completely blocked the men from using the ladies. This lead to the absolutely longest queue for a restroom that I have ever seen, even went down, around back up two different stairwells before entering a corral!  Missed 10 minutes of the second half (including a penalty goal)?!?  Didn’t miss either of the second half try’s though which was awesome.  After the game, we were able to link up with Old Marooner Billy Baker and met his wife Connie and daughter.  Bill then led us to a very cool little restaurant decorated like a cave (KanKan?) where we enjoyed a bite and a beer.  Great to have a chance to catch up with him here in Yokohama where he has been living for 20 years!  Bill is a member and former director of the Yokohama Country and Athletic Club, which is the oldest rugby club in Asia (150 year anniversary in 2018). Back to the hotel, we narrowly avoided the lure of one more singalong under the tracks featuring a reprise from Doc James Unplugged.  Early reports are that the Privateers had more fun than legally permissible.
