A relaxing pool day gave way to a trip to el Malecon, which I learned from Don Don, means the stone sea wall and promenade - which might have been obvious. We did the stroll before dinner so it was not uncomfortably crawling with humanity. Stopped at Roberto’s for 2 for 1 cocktails and enjoyed the repartee with our waiter. 2 for 1 may have been a sign of things to come? Mari’s reflexes were put to the test when Don Don tried to kick over the table (two Pina Coladas rescued!)
Onward to Daquairi Dick’s for a great table on the beach - table was great, chairs not so much after Mari toppled over right when we sat down (due to the sand, not the 2 for 1 Pina Coladas?). Our sunset dinner was graced by a colourful display as the day passed into night. Evidence that Don Don’s reflexes were not up to par when his finger sprung a leak trying to catch his falling wine glass. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner and discovered a nice Mexican wine to complement it - might try that one again if we can find it. Back at the villa for an ADD before finishing up the laundry, go figure that one out?
