Enroute to Beijing

We had a leisurely morning getting packed up, breakfast and checked out. Departure was at 1:45 so near low tide. Rode the tractor drawn trailer to boat 1, then out to the bigger catamaran which gave us a smooth ride to Ao Po Marina. A short private bus ride to Phuket airport from there. We decided on a burger at BK (yikes!), then awited our flight in the Bangkok Airways lounge. Flight departed a bit late, but had a long delay in a holding pattern at Suvarnabhumi Airport. This made us late and cranky trying to find our way to the hotel, which was literally immediately adjacent. Language barrier didn't help much. Eventually found the shuttle stop and took a very roundabout drive to the main entrance. We should have walked (if I had read my itinerary more carefully, we would have found this option quite easily). Hotel very comfortable and after a good sleep we're back at the airport (via underground walk way - no problem). I am now totally reliant on my phone for email and internet. In fact posting now from my phone in the airport.
