Not much action planned for the day as Myles was heading home mid afternoon in a “pod”. The kids headed out for a short run while the rest got organized. We all went for a walk together around the community marvelling at the construction activity even on Sabado. Popped into the Arte Primitivo shop to see what they had but found nothing appealing. Grabbed a jugo for Alex and then stopped for a quick cerveca at the Sticky Fingers bar on the Marina promenade. A decision was taken to try out the Tostadas at the Nosh for Matthew & Alex, this is absolutely a highlight of this locale and didn’t disappoint. Myles hopped in a cab for the short run to the aeropuerto and managed the chaos as well as can be expected and ultimately made it home trouble free. The remaining tourists decided a walk up to Tacon de Marlin was a good idea, which it was except after ordering we were notified the establo was closing and “take out” the only option, we had just sat down an awaiting our burritos with a cold cerveca so that was unexpected. The next surprise was the taxi chaos which is exemplary of the culture with a “system” that confounded me. Ultimately, we wound up walking back to the villa with our take out as we could not successfully convince one of the many, many taxis to take us at a reasonable price. Got our steps in that’s for sure. Maybe one day I will come to understand the “system”, but not likely this trip? Anyway, Tacon de Marlin makes a great seafood burrito and also one activity on repeat! Back to the Villa with no desire for further adventure lead to an ETB ahead of the remaining tourist’s departure Domingo and a wholesale replacement of our guests over the next couple of days.
