Chorizo & Egg taquitos opened the day, even if I had prepared them earlier than advertised. Then we were off up into the hills in a couple of over priced cabs where we met Deb & Ron to round out our two foursomes at Vista Vallarta Club de Golf. A typically beautiful day on the course and some fun golfing, we popped into see Salvador (aka Chappy) for his world famous Cadillac Marguritas, and they are very good - possibly too good? A sign of things to come. Unfortunately, the kitchen had closed so we were left with nothing but drinks and peanuts. A decision was taken that nothing would do but to check out Deb and Ron’s favourite haunt, Casa Isabel. Jumped into a couple of taxis for the trip back down to the villas to freshen up prior to arranging an Uber - this proved complicated because I have been trying to stay within wifi and not use cell data - the predictable cluster f**k ensued - but no worries, little Brucey to the rescue to negotiate a very favourable rate (for the cabbie). Bruce’s generosity has been legendary already! Fortunately, the Uber driver knew where the Casa Isabel is located, and a good thing - what a drive up steep, narrow and windy roads through old town up to a really spectacular setting which happens to be only a few steps from R&D’s apartment. Much revelry was taken, including a spot of baillando for some. We shut the place down after relieving the proprietor of much tequila. Uber return ride was completely set up by Bruce - so no problemo and we were back to the villa for an ADD. The pro’s might even have seen their end point - can’t be sure??
