Well, the tourists were in need of a down day, we had a very slow start. Eventually, the team mustered the energy to hop on the #8 to Perrache and wander up the Saone a ways in search for the Musee Cinema et Miniature. Turned out to be worth the effort for this little attraction boasting memorabilia from movie set designers, including reconstructed actual sets from famous films. Prompted some interest in seeking out movies represented there (i.e. Perfume). The miniature exhibits were really fascinating, as were the presentations about make up art. Afterwards, we stumbled upon Sol Cafe with offerings of Moule et Frite, which was appealing to me and we had a very pleasant lunch (and avoided a bout of Fatigue, Afame et Soif). Afterwards, we wandered across the Saone to inspect La Fresque des Canuts, which is apparently the largest in Europe and represents the story of silk workers at Lyon.
Hopped aboard the Metro to Perrache and transferred to the #8 back to the Barge, the tourists nestled into a well earned nap. As the afternoon waned into evening, there was no sign of interest in the thought of venturing back out for dinner. So we opted (sadly) for delivery of some Greek style pita wraps, which after the culinary experiences we’ve had was positively disappointing.
