After posting ieri pomeriggio, Matthew and I found our way to the Co op Super Mercato. It had more of what we needed and we picked up some stuff to complement the pasta M&K were making at cooking class along with a few things for pranzo domani. We wound up being really late so M&K had to walk from the ristorante down to our apartment loaded down with the results from the cooking class. By the time Matthew & I got back they were all ready to cook dinner. Had a great pasta, pizza and dolce dinner and got settled down early.
Up early this morning and off to the Chianti region. We visited Castellino in Chianti, Greve in Chianti and Radda in Chianti. All very quaint little towns. We shopped around a bit in each one. We were off the local schedule for wine tasting opportunities, but we did find one very small winery and tasted their product and bought some wine and olive oil (Casaloste). Everyone is really worn out from the heat and the walking we have been doing, so we went back to Fattorie San Pietro and had a dip in the pool. Then we've come back to San Gimignano to make this post and next we are having dinner at Trattoria Mimar just down the hill.
