We did find an excellent place for dinner and enjoyed a bit too much wine! Second day in 5 terre started with another good breakfast and off down the trail to Vernazza. This was quite a long walk with lots of elevation change. Spectacular views of the coast and towns. It was very hot and sweaty and dusty. Myles was chased down the trail by a huge honey bee, or so he thought. He wasn’t to happy even though the bee just carried on with its business not bothering with Myles. Had a light lunch in Vernazza and wondered up to the stazione and caught a train back to Monterosso. Walked up to the town overlook and then back to the hotel. Matthew and I freshened up in the ocean, the beach was much less crowded. Then back to the hotel to get Myles and Karen and out for some last minute souvenir shopping. After that, a little siesta and I’m posting this at an internet café as the hotel wi-fi is disabled. This is our last evening in Monterosso, off to Genova tomorrow and then early flight homeward Wednesday morning.
