London Calling

A down day w.r.t. RWC2015 found us on the Flat Tire bicycle tour of central London.  Jonathan guided us around Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, War Memorial (Cavalry rode by enroute to their lodgings after changing of the gaurd), Buckingham Palace (Queen wasn't home), 10 Downing Street, Trafalgar Square (where we had lunch - in a pub),

Westminster Abbey, Parliament Square (where Jonathan described in gory detail the process of being hanged, drawn and quartered), Princess Dianna Memorial (subtle), Prince Albert Memorial (not subtle) and Music Hall, after which Denise had a flat tire, perhaps caused by her crash into a sharp curb and tumble.  There was a nice walk in Hyde Park before and after the bicycle tour, but the day was not spectacular with a cool drizzle carrying on most of the day.  Managed to get back to the flat where most had a short siesta, Mark and I went for more supplies and stumbled upon a pub on the way back - there is no shortage of pubs in London.  Later we went for a nice dinner at San Marcos italian restaurant, they actually had salad on the menu.  Back to the flat for another glass of wine or two (bottle?)
