Paris Day 7

I popped out to the pastecerie for crossaints and a baguette plus cafe au lait to go and stepped back to the room for our petit dejeuner.  After that, we headed out for a walk and went along the Seine and crossed over to Ile St. Louis.  Walked around the Ile and stopped at a bistro for more coffee.  Then over to Ile du Cite and some more photos of Notre Dame.  Strolled along Rive Droite browsing bouquanistes.  Back at the hotel, room was not quite ready so did some reading in the lounge.  Once the room complet we packed up and showered up in preparation for long trip home tomorrow.  Afterwards, we headed over to Tour St. Jacques and had our picnic in the parc.  Baguette, sauscion, fromage, pomme, vin.  Parc warden advised that vin was forbidden, but didn't make a big fuss.  Il pluie, so we went back to our hotel.  Quarter finals of RWC2015, so off to a bistro - Rive Droite to get settled in.  Biere du presson and a seat up front.  After Wales defeat to SA, had some Moules et frites and awaited NZ v. France.  Place was packed for the kick off, and watched the first half before retiring to our room.  All ready to go, had arranged a private car to pick us up at the hotel.  This was interesting.  Price started at 47 euro, 17 for the hotel, 40 for the driver.  Desk staff said this would be a good option for us.  Agreed and got signed up.  Oops, if before 06:00 extra 10 euro for the driver.  I'd have to say that the desk staff at Le Britainnique have been far short of helpful.  Also, requested a 05:00 wake up call.  I could tell from the blank stare that this was not a common request - inevitably, the wake up call did not come through.  Niether Karen's nor my cell phone alarm clock worked.  It was lucky that Karen had some indigestion and was up anyway.  So, we've found our way to the CDG in plenty of time, through security and waiting at the gate for our first leg to Frankfurt.  We have a long layover there and then the long flight to YYC.
