Woofter Boys RWC2015 commenced yesterday with a visit at the airport with Mom. Karen was kind enough to stay for a couple of hours while Miles and Mom caught up. Once on board AC850 the predictable ensued. Air Canada provided excellent service, possibly over service for some. Met Heather Hassler (Jeff Hasslers Mom) who was on board. Arrived LHR on time and customs was easy. Heathrow Express to Paddington Station swift and comfortable. Walked a couple of blocks to 21 Bathurst Mews and found it very easily (the flat we will occupy once back to London). Returned to the rail station then hopped in a cab to Euston Station. The tube would have been 4.80# per. Cab was 10#, easy and convenient. Lucky to have arrived just in time for a train to MK. Smooth and easy ride. Tourists starting to fade fast. Arrival at MK found us getting interviewed by BBC. Not sure if the interview made it on to the tele. Wandered up the street for some lunch and located Lloyds #1 Bar adjacent to Jury's Inn. Team Canada bus arrived and saw some players. Visited with Graham Moffat and Andy Teideman. Hopped in a cab and drove by Stadium MK enroute to Kents Hill Park. Checked in and were able to get rooms with two beds (whew!!) Went for a short walk followed by hot tub and sauna. Dinner at hotel was simple but good. ETB and slept for 11 hours. Ready for the adventure to begin in earnest.
