Headed to College Station with the Cones as we’ll be attending a Life Celebration being held for prominent Old Maroon member O. Mark Anthony Saturday morning. We got mostly organized for the trip and managed to get out for a walk along the river. It is peculiar to wander around the area as there is commercial, industrial, residential, recreational property cheek by jowl. Land of the free? Stopped in the 7 Monks for a samosa and then awaited the arrival of our transportation. Tim and Dru got caught in heavy traffic so we started out behind schedule and got further behind as the highway was stop and go for a long time. Turned a 2 hour drive into 4+. Once we got to the George and checked in, we just barely made our dinner reservation at Porters next door. After dinner, we found a fire pit and huddled around it depleting our Texas wine supply. Might have managed to get overserved! Short post today as not much action to describe.
