Prepare for arrival

So Wednesday, our boys are flying down to SAT to spend the Family Day/Presidents Day long weekend with us.  While checking out the sleeping arrangements, it became obvious that the pull out couch/bed in the living room is a little bit worse for wear.  The options are limited so if might be a reprise of our Japan trip with Myles where we all slept in the same room several nights.  The pull out couch/bed in the main bedroom is in much better condition, hope he brings some ear plugs?  We popped down to the Naegeelin’s Bakery (oldest bakery in Texas - or so they say since 1868) for a pastry and coffee mid morning.  Gathered up some pickles next door at the Fickle Pickle and made our way back to the condo with a brief stop at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church located on a piece of high ground and originally built as a stockade by Prince Solms of Braunfels Germany in 1845.  A very old and historic German settlement indeed.  Made our way back over to Gruene for some extremely large onion rings and a huge burger at the Grist Mill overlooking the Guadeloupe River on a lovely afternoon.  Caught a few rays at the pool as the afternoon waned and after a BDD on the veranda, we strolled over to the Sidecar for some piano entertainment and tapas.  Another day with not much action and looking forward to the kids arrival.
